The 5-Minute "Walk-Through" Rule
Do a final walk-through as if you were a guest. Turn on all lights. Look up (dust on ceiling corners), look down (dust under the bed), and check the high-touch areas that are often missed:
- Light switches & remotes: Wipe with a disinfectant wipe.
- Door handles & handrails: Sanitise thoroughly.
- Kettle & Toaster: Clean the inside of the kettle and empty the toaster crumb tray.
The Bathroom Test
The bathroom is the most scrutinised room. A clean bathroom must have:
- Streak-free mirrors and chrome: Polish taps with a dry microfibre cloth.
- Fresh towels: Folded in a hotel style.
- Toilet paper: Fold the end into a triangle for a premium feel.
